Cartridge valves are compact valves that are used to control the direction, pressure or flow of fluid in hydraulic systems and are cylindrical in structure and placed directly inside the manifold or block. The valve body consists of an internal mechanism and seal systems. These valves are designed to operate under high pressure and flow and are usually mounted in cavities that comply with ISO 7368, DIN 24342, or manufacturer-specific standards.
